A few things your Executive Board wants you to know - (7/31/2008)

We would like to thank all of those members who donate the $1.00 when you pay your windows dues.  The E-board uses that money to offset the cost of the “Old Timers Picnic" along with several other functions and charitable benefits that we participate in.  If you do not do not currently donate the $1 to the e-board you can ask one of the ladies at the front counter for a form.

Several new T-shirts designs have been created along with the latest "Union ‘Til I Die" sticker. Supplies are limited you can purchase these at the front window and from       E-Board members on Union meeting nights. If you have any ideas for shirts, stickers etc. leave us your information at the front window as well," ATTN. E-Board.
All Local Members should know that it is in our best interest to invite our travel card brothers and sisters into our Local, don't let them invite themselves. This attitude is not accepted in your homes, Local 525 is our home and we must protect it. If one of these traveling members has the time (3 years working in our jurisdiction,) are of good moral character and not afraid of a fair days work then we encourage you to bring them to the next E-Board meeting, (1st& 3rd wed. of each month 6 pm.) Please accompany them as you are their sponsor.
Last but not least. The E-Board has announced the winner of the "Alsup Award." It was Joseph (Joey) A. Fernandez
This distinguished honor is given to an apprentice who shows his/her union pride on a daily basis. Their motto is "eight for eight or hit the gate." Always willing to participate in the unions best interest on or off the job. These individuals offer personal sacrifice demonstrate leadership and promote benevolence.
Congratulations Brother Fernandez, for 5 years of dedication to our local.
