UA Local 525 Plumbers, Pipefitters, and HVAC/R Technicians was chartered on July 9, 1938. For more than 85 years, Local 525 has proudly helped protect the health, safety, and comfort of Southern Nevada through skilled plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC service work.

Our signatory contractors employ the highly trained members of Local 525 across a wide range of industries, including heavy industrial, commercial, and residential service and construction, as well as plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC service.

Local 525’s state-of-the-art training facility provides comprehensive instruction for both apprentices and journeymen in all aspects of the plumbing, pipefitting, welding and service trades. Apprentices complete a rigorous five-year program that includes 1,230 classroom hours and 8,500 hours of on-the-job training. Journeymen also utilize the training center to sharpen their skills, maintain industry certifications, and stay current with the evolving technologies used throughout the construction industry.

Local 525 takes great pride in partnering with our signatory contractors to deliver complex and essential piping systems that support the infrastructure of our community. From co-generation plants that power our region and hospitals that care for our citizens, to Allegiant Stadium, Harry Reid International Airport, schools, military installations, and the gaming industry, Local 525 members have played a vital role in building and maintaining the systems on which Southern Nevada depends.
