Do you have any historical documents regarding Local 525? - (2/4/2008)
On July 9th 2008 Plumbers, Pipefitters & HVAC/R Technicians Local 525 will celebrate a very proud day. It will be the 70th anniversary of the signing of our charter from the United Association. Our local has a long, strong and proud history in Southern Nevada. It is our hope to preserve that history for future generations.
That is why we are asking anyone with documents, pictures or stories about who we are and where we have come from to submit them to us. We want to use these things to officially document the history of Local 525. Anything you may have will be valuable to this effort. Old contracts, Union ballots, newspaper clippings, dues books, letters or receipts will help us piece a story of our history together. If you have photos of members, officers, jobsites, social functions, or meetings they would make a great addition to our story. But most importantly we want to hear from you. What was the Union like before and after the war? Who helped make us great? What stories can you tell us about Union elections and negotiations, or projects that may no longer be standing? If we can bring all of these things together it will create a lasting story that we can teach to our new members so they understand our proud history.
There are many ways to submit information to us;
1. You can bring them in to the Union hall at any time, or you can mail any documents you may have to the address below.

2. Writing your stories down in an e-mail is another excellent way to submit them. You can send them to Greg@Local525.org
3. Or you can contact Greg Esposito at 702-224-3050 to arrange for him to visit with you and document your experiences as you relate them.
